I just finished the quilting part of Sofia's quilt and although my legs and back are a little sore (will remedy table situation soon hopefully) I really enjoy this part of the process. It's a twin size quilt and I bought a queen size bed sheet for the backing and, despite my reservations, I'm really happy with the way it went. It was smooth sewing and easy to put together so I'll definitely use sheets again when I want a quick solution to the backing (I got a nice one at IKEA). I used my sloppy stippling method again and I'm fine with that (I know I'm a beginner and I'm happy with it).
I stitched her name in one corner so she will always know I made this especially for her. She was happy when she saw that part so mission accomplished.
Now I get to do my favorite part....a long movie (or movies) and binding. It already has the pretty kitty seal of approval so yay for me! (that's her "I approve of this quilt" look)
And now I'm off to meet our friends for happy hour which is a great start to any weekend! Have a great weekend and stay cool (in every way)!
