Hey, remember when I went so long without blogging because we were getting ready to send our darling daughter off to Montana to work? Well now my excuse is we had to stop everything while Joey and my dad took off, with very little notice, to go get her and bring her home (long story, barf). They covered 2000 miles in 37 hours and are my heroes. So all my little chickies are back in my nest.
Of course her little sister had already claimed her room (it's the big one after all) and now Olivia is left trying to fix the guest room up for herself. Sigh...if it's not one thing....
Although this has made me nutty enough to want to start sniffing my beloved spray paint I decided not to waste it and once again spruced up a little piece of furniture. My dad just gave me this ADORABLE magazine stand which was black and covered with dried mud but when I first looked at it I saw a cute pink stand perfect for holding many of my treasured texts. And now that's what it is! Would you just freak if you went into a doctor's waiting room and saw this?! That's my idea of a dream come true. I'd even stop avoiding my yearly exam if I knew this was waiting for me.
I wish I had a before picture (but like I said, it was black and muddy so imagine that). Now I just need a foot rest and a side table (I actually have a side table I pulled from the neighbors junk pile. It just needs...spray paint!).
Here's a close up. I love the little cut out pattern in the metal. So my happy place is now an even happier place. Dreamy huh?
Happy Monday!! Sew something this week! I'm going to try to but once again find myself doing the pre-quilt market scramble like everyone else in this industry. But still, I should squeeze in a project just because it's fun!
