Yay! We have a winner! The winner of the nice little Sugar Snap stack is "lesthook" who left a comment at 2:04 on 5/3. Congratulations Leta!! You're going to love it (plus I found a couple more scraps to add to it)!
I've been working on another handbag and it's coming together quite nicely. I'm still in love with my original Joey Bag but I think people around me are tired of it (I'm not!) and I wanted something fresh to take to Quilt Market (9 days to go!). I love the design of the original bag and everything about it totally works for me...the pockets, the size, the straps, and especially the little cell phone pocket (Joey's idea so I named it after him). So here's how the new one is coming along (the blue ticking is the lining). Aren't these fabrics gorgeous together??
And here's where I'm at now. I've got the batting attached to the back and the pocket on one side. I couldn't help but add butterflies to this one too. They keep it from taking itself too seriously. Tomorrow I'll attach the strap and put in the magnetic closure and sew it all together. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. It's so much fun to go out and about with a sassy new bag!
And I'm still playing around with my new camera. I took this picture at breakfast the other day. It's over-exposed but I'm trying to get used to the settings. I call this one "Find the Goober". Can you? I think you can.
Here he's at it again. Skate has that "we are not amused" look. Sigh.
Oh and you're going to LOVE this! Run over to Jennifer's beautiful blog and check it out! She has my beautiful Sis Boom wall there and a massive give-away (a huge stack of Pretty Please fat quarters)! That is a ton of amazing fabric (you could seriously make it last for years if you're like me)!
Have a beautiful week! I'll be back to show off my new bag really soon!
